Esteban Carreras Cashmere Connecticut ‘Boolit’ redefines expectations for a mild Connecticut-wrapped cigar. This compact robusto combines the bold and complex character of the Nicaraguan house with the classic appearance and creamy finish expected from its wrapper.
The ‘Boolit’ features a wrapper with a sandy yellow or light straw tone, thin with a slight natural sheen, conveying a silky feel to the touch. It is a well-rolled, firm cigar, finished with an elegant band combining white, gold, and maroon tones.
Upon lighting, the smoke is immediately smooth and creamy, with a warm and well-structured character. This is where the Cashmere distinguishes itself: while the start recalls the classic buttery toast of a Connecticut, it quickly reveals greater complexity.
The first half develops main notes of toasted cedar, hazelnuts, and brown sugar, with a distinctive touch of white pepper that adds a spicy yet balanced nuance.
In its second third, the profile becomes deeper, with subtle suggestions of leather and a cozy sweetness reminiscent of caramel and cream. The finish is persistent, clean, and aromatic, maintaining a defining creaminess that justifies its name.
