The Rocky Patel Gold Label is a premium cigar line launched in May 2025 that lives up to its luxurious name. The packaging is dominated by gold – from the elegant box to the opulent belly band featuring filigree ornaments – a design inspired by Rocky Patel’s Indian roots .
The cigar is handmade at the company’s own Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua . The tobacco blend is distinctive: a shiny Ecuadorian H-2000 wrapper covers a unique double binder made from two Connecticut tobaccos – Broadleaf and Shade – which provide a smooth yet expressive structure. The filler consists of long-aged premium tobaccos from the prestigious Nicaraguan growing regions of Jalapa and Estelí .
The flavor profile offers notes of caramel, coffee, honey, earthy elements, leather, spices, and a creamy sweetness . Despite its luxurious appearance, the Gold Label remains surprisingly accessible in price, positioned as an “everyday luxury” cigar . It has received excellent ratings, including 92 and 94 points from Cigar Aficionado .
